Stryper - "F" The Devil!
I remember the first time I was introduced to Stryper as a kid. I was so overwhelmed that a band such as theirs existed. Heavy Metal with a Christian message? Who'd of believed it. I do admit the yellow and black striped outfits were a little hard to swallow at first but the level of musicianship that the band commanded certainly made up for that.

I am thoroughly impressed that the guys are still alive and well in 2019 and they look and sound better than ever! Many of their contemporaries cannot say the same, that's for sure. The band over the years has been faced with many trials and tribulations. Whether it is controversies over their image, lyrical subject matter and album titles the guys have rolled with the punches. In addition they have struggled with the loss of loved ones, fallout with members and fans, health concerns and pretty much anything you or I would find in our day to day lives, after all they are every bit as human as the rest of us.

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with frontman and band co-founder Michael Sweet about the bands longevity, changes in style, the progressive heaviness of their sound, the need for family, controversies galore and what is next for the band in terms of touring and the next album.
